Cryptic Structures
In my pursuit to create large hewn stone subjects I found a gold mine... a cemetery to be more precise.

Crypt
This cemetery has some fantastic stone structures (such as this crypt that I will use as a plinth) and on an overcast day I was able to photograph without any interruption. It was a rather rewarding visit.

Isolated Pillars
This pillar memorial is of primary interest to me for the weathered stone pillars which I will be extracting for use on their own in my collection. In all, it was a beautiful subject. The weathering of light colored stone is really a great resource at least for reference.

I've been looking forward to getting some of these tombstones scanned so when I finally got the overcast weather for it I carved out the time and scanned them up. There was a spider that sat still during the cracked tombstone scan and actually came through rather nicely in the geometry. Each of these scans are 100-200 images. Enjoy!
These photoscanned models have 8k maps for UVs, color, depth & normals.
And here is my real goal with this subject... the pillars themselves isolated. :)
Hewn Stone
This one is my first attempts at seaming two scans together into one. To build from the ground up subjects of hewn stone need to be located. Here is an attempt to take two grave site stone subjects and merge them into a single hewn stone asset. While not my cleanest result, it certainly is a start in the right direction.
