Sidewalk, metal panels & ground cover.
This series of scans cover the sidewalk details around us including metal panels in various states of rust, concrete, and ground covers.

These two metal panel scans were a great opportunity to scan a common texture from the real world. These panels were used on sidewalks and I was able to source a relatively clean subject and then follow it up with a duplicate of a rusty panel. At the least it is a very good texture reference complete with normals and height map. Hopefully it is actually a good study subject for comparison.

Mixed Rocks Ground Cover
One of my early 3D scans and oddly enough during winter so there is a tiny bit of snow mixed in with the rocks (sorry). This is an interesting scan because of the deep recesses between rocks. But this was also taken early on when I would photograph from more extreme angles (not all that necessary with a linear subjects). Enjoy!

Dead Grass
This scan was rather time consuming because of the difficulty of dealing with the immense detail of all these blades of grass and trying to figure out how to maintain their quality while UV unwrapping the model. I have to be able to UV unwrap in order to work through my pipeline (at present) and hundreds of blades of grass like to fight that process. But finally here it is and actually it turned out rather well I think. I wasn't sure about this one up front but I'm really happy with how well it tiles without attracting attention to itself.
